Guttering, fascias and soffits get forgotten until something goes wrong. Most people ring us after noticing water where it shouldn't be, or paintwork that has started to give up.

Left alone, water running down brickwork can find its way inside. A look now is usually a smaller job than putting damp right later.
What the job involves
Three parts that work together
Your gutters are fixed to the fascia, and the soffit closes the gap underneath. When one has had it, we check the other two at the same time.
Guttering
Gutters and downpipes carry rainwater away from your walls and foundations. We take down old runs that leak or sag and fit new ones at the right fall, so water heads for the downpipe instead of sitting in the gutter.
Fascias
The fascia is the long board along the edge of the roof. It holds the gutters and supports the bottom row of tiles or slates. Rotten boards come off, we check the rafter ends behind them, and new boards go on.
Soffits
Soffits sit underneath the fascia and close off the eaves. They keep birds and weather out of the roof space. Where the old ones are split or missing, we replace them so the underside of the roof is sealed and tidy.

Can you replace just the guttering?
Often, yes. Gutters are fixed to the fascia, though, so we check the boards first. If they are soft or rotten, new gutters on old boards won't last, and we will show you that in the photos.
How much will it cost?
Every job like this is quoted after a look, because the length of roofline and the state of the boards vary from house to house. You get the quote with photos of what we found.
Why do you send photos with the quote?
Most people can't see their roofline up close. The photos let you see the problem for yourself before you decide anything.
