Quotes and prices
Before we get started
How quoting works, what it costs to have your roof looked at, and where we work.
Want the numbers in one place? See our prices page.
How much does a roof inspection cost?
Roof inspections start from £95. You get photos of what we find, so you can see the condition of your roof for yourself. Read more on our roof inspections page.
Can you give me a price over the phone?
Apart from inspections, every job is quoted after a look. Roofs vary a lot, and a problem that looks small from the ground can be bigger up close. Seeing it first means the quote matches the work.
Why do your quotes come with photos?
Most people can't get up on their own roof. Every quote comes with photos of what we found, so you can see the slipped tile, the cracked flashing or the worn felt and decide with the facts in front of you.
Which areas do you cover?
Are you insured?
Yes. Slatewick Roofing is fully insured.

About your roof
General answers about common roofing problems and the work we do. For more detail, see our services.
Does my roof need repairing or replacing?
A few slipped or broken tiles, or a leak in one spot, can usually be repaired. If tiles or slates are failing all over, the battens are rotten or the felt underneath has broken down, a new roof is often the better answer. The photos with your quote show you which it is.
Do you work with slate and tile?
Yes. We carry out full re-roofs in slate or tile, as well as repairs to both. See our new roofs and roof repairs pages.
What is the difference between EPDM and GRP flat roofs?
EPDM is a rubber membrane, usually laid as one large sheet with few joins. GRP is fibreglass: resin and matting laid on the roof that sets into a hard, seamless finish. Both are common on extensions, garages and dormers, and we fit both. More on our flat roofs page.
Why is there a leak around my chimney?
Leaks near a chimney often come from worn pointing between the bricks, or from lead flashing that has split, lifted or come loose where the chimney meets the roof. We do repointing, flashing and leadwork. See our chimney repairs page.
Do you replace guttering, fascias and soffits?
Yes. Overflowing or sagging gutters and tired fascias can let water into walls and roof timbers, so they're worth sorting. Find out more on our guttering, fascias and soffits page.
